1. Requires some drilling (Not Major).
4. Two notches must be cut in the grill for attachment tabs.
5. May require notching a belly pan on some models.
9. Requires small notches in air dam. Small lower air dam on Honda Civic Sport models must also be removed.
12. The air dam (lower) part of the plastic bumper cover on the '87- '89 Topaz & '89 Tempo must have two short slices put on either side of it & will be compressed vertically about 2 inches.
20. Requires a Class III tow bar.
24. Black plastic below and behind bumper must be notched.
27. The '93-'95 Sable requires cutting in lower bumper which will show and hinder the appearance of the installation. This is not true for the Taurus application.
33. Black air dam notched in two (2) places.
38. Bumper must be completely removed and replaced during installation.
39. Shroud, bumper insert and air dam must be notched.
49. Manual transmissions tow fine. Automatic transmissions CAN NOT be towed utilizing a lube pump or disconnect.
57. Headlights will be removed and replaced during installation.
59. Non-24" spaced attachment tabs. Requires the use of an adapter to utilize a car mounted tow bar. See "Accessories" page.

IR: Installation Rating. Level of difficulty for baseplate installation by a skilled mechanic. (1) being the easiest and (5) being the most difficult.

WT: Weights including boxing, subtract 1-2 lbs. for installation weight. Weights may vary 1-2 lbs. due to packaging variations.

WR: Indicates whether a BX8869 bulb and socket wiring kit will fit a particular vehicle. Those vehicles that will accept a BX8869 are denoted with a 69, those that need the BX8811 an 11, and those that require a BX8847 a 47. Only vehicles that contain a number in this column were known at the time of printing this fit list.
